SUSTAINABLE HOUSING ASSET RESOURCE EXCHANGE

National Canadian Rental Housing index

National Canadian Rental Housing index

Where are the most expensive rents in Ontario? Where is the hardest place to find a three bedroom unit? The results may surprise you and will provide important information about Ontario's housing crisis to governments, developers and advocates. Launched in 2015, the national Rental Housing Index (RHI), a web-map that allows users to find rental statistics by community, including average rents, the number of people spending 30% and 50% of their income on rent, among other scores. The RHI was originally developed by BC Non-Profit Housing Association in partnership with Vancity. ONPHA worked with BCNPHA to include Ontario in support of expanding the RHI nationally.
