The 2013 edition of Where's Home? offers a broad retrospective on housing trends and issues over the last two decades and presents a range of findings that illustrate the need for affordable rental housing in Ontario now and into the future. The report demonstrates that we are at the tail-end of a period of extraordinary growth in homeownership, with rental demand predicted to increase. But low rental housing production since the mid 1990s is unprecedented over the last 60 years. The market is not positioned to produce affordable housing on its own and low income renters face deepening affordability challenges.
