Thank you to everyone who attended the 2016 Energy Forum!
Nearly 100 Ontario housing provider, municipality, and utility representatives joined us at our 2016 HSC Energy Forum on October 27th at the Holiday Inn Toronto-Yorkdale. The event was a big success, thanks to our engaged audience, enterprising speakers, and generous sponsors.
The event kicked off by exploring high-level factors impacting the housing sector’s energy performance; factors such as energy policy, utility markets, and green building design. We also heard creative, adaptable examples of resident engagement strategies, and then learned how to best access funding and utility incentive programs for energy retrofits. Our closing speakers shared how they tackled deep energy retrofits, building repurposing, and Passive House, inspiring us with fresh ideas for future projects.
